Some info about some of our Performers:
"ROB
MURDOCK" is from Ashville, NC and has
recently moved to our area. His Jazz ensemble offering a wide variety of great
jazz and popular standards, has played at many clubs around the south
including: The Pinehurst Country Club, The Biltmore Estates in Asheville, NC,
Harrah's Casino in Cherokee, NC and Pacific & Vine in Atlanta, GA.
"EARLENE"
Born in Mississippi, moved to Chicago at age of 16. Gospel trained-trained
from age 12 years, solo and harmony. Her first experience was in a backup
group for a Chicago area R & B band. For the past 10 years
she has performed, or
sat in regularly with many Chicago area jazz/pop artists. She is a very
versatile live performer, featuring smooth
vocals. Earlene sings jazz standards,
pop
ballads, Motown, R
& B, blues and country. She
has been a featured singer in suburban lounges
& clubs and has frequently
performed at outdoor events,
weddings
and parties. Earlene's song list is very long and includes pleasing
sounds for everyone. DON'T MISS HER
PERFORMANCES....(see calendar above). Earlene has been very
active in the Pinellas area since her arrival here. She is also a featured
singer at
Bellini's in
Dunedin
"WENDY" is
a local lady who is very well known in the Tampa Bay area....not only because
of her music...but also having the personality to really get into your blood
and make you take part in her performances. She is in my opinion one of the
most personable ladies I have ever met. She does her own thing with songs and
makes them more enjoyable than the original. Wendy seems to know everyone and
greets them with a smile regardless of any situation that might exist.
Overall....she's just simply good!!!!!
"THE HEADLESS AX" is
a super performer and local artist, with a studio on Douglas Ave. He is not
only a great artist...but does a fantastic job with his music and is well
loved by his many followers. If you haven't heard him...you're missing a
good evening ...so join us this Friday and hear him do his thing.
"MARIA & THE FOX" These
two really have a great time when they're singing.
Brian is a super guitarist and
Maria is my "SINGING CANARY". She has the voice to really hit the
high notes and does a fantastic job of reaching them. Don't miss hearing
them....they're
always super.
"RED BARON" Brian
Forrestal is a very talented musician and performs fantastic.
"JON
MOFFITT "
a very well known "PARROTT HEAD" singer.
Jon does a fantastic job with his style on Jimmy Buffett 's
music. He
also has the talent to sing some German songs.
"JIMMY
GRISWOLD" will be with us on all Thursday's in
February (except the 9th). He will also be playing on Saturday 4 Feb at 7.30pm. He
will also be playing on Thursday 26 Jan at 7:30pm. Jimmy
is a very well known local singer / guitarist and it is a compliment
to us to have him sing at our establishment. Maybe someday
we'll be able to have his entire band join us...they are fantastic. Jimmy
enjoys having musicians join him and play along in his "jam
sessions". If you haven't heard him....you're missing some good
entertainment.
FIONA
& DANNY this
"Duo" plays everything from Aamba all the way to Zzamba and do a
fantastic job with it. So forget about "American Idol" and
come out and see for yourself. It's a great live performance.
"KARAOKE"
We are planning an occasional
night of Karaoke music again in the future. My brother and sister in law (DARRELL
AND JOANN) aren't up to it on a routine basis but have said they would
join us on occasions when time and health permitted it. We also have Eric
Alan who would sit in as DJ.....so when we have our equipment
complete...we will have a Karaoke night again...(so Rose and I can sing
again...ha ha!!) It's a lot of fun if everyone joins in.
